The University of Toledo Arts and Letters and Engineering Alumni Affiliates invite you a Craft Beer Lecture and Tasting at 6 p.m., June 13 in the Center for Alumni and Donor Engagement.
Dr. Neil Reid, professor of geography and planning at UToledo, affectionately known as the "Beer Professor," will present on the phenomenal growth of the craft beer industry and the factors driving its growth.
Representatives from two Toledo breweries will share their experience with craft beer and how they began as home brewers before opening their own breweries. Keefe Snyder (Eng '06, Law '10) will speak as co-owner of Earnest Brew Works with fellow UToledo alum, Scot Yarnell (Univ Coll '00), and Aaron Grizaniuk (Univ Coll '05) and Eric Pfohl will speak as co-owners of Patron Saints Brewery.
Following the lecture, you have the opportunity to sample eight 3 oz. beers from Earnest Brew Works and Patron Saints Brewery.
The cost is $20 per person, which includes, the lecture, eight beer samples and snacks. The tasting is for those 21 and over, proper ID required.
