The University of Toledo Alumni Association invites you to the 2024 Cheerleader and Mascot reunion during Homecoming weekend, Oct. 3-5. This is a special occasion for reconnecting with old friends and teammates, reminiscing about our college days, and celebrating the milestones we’ve achieved since graduation.
The deadline for reunion apparel is Sept. 16.
The deadline to register for the reunion is Sept. 27.

Cheer and Mascot Alumni Social at Inside the Five’s The Fieldhouse
1040 N. Westwood, Toledo, OH 43607
- Event Overview: We have reserved the upstairs private bar and gathering space inside the new “Fieldhouse” located near campus on Westwood, which is part of the Inside the Five Brewery (other locations in Sylvania and Perrysburg). The Field House has an extensive beer, wine, and cocktail menu. Food is provided by a food truck(s). All food and drinks are individually billed. - Packet Pickup: Kaylie Edwards will be onsite to help anyone interested to submit/sign your reunion waiver, and pick up your packet for the weekend (shirts, field pass, etc)

Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 | 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
$19 per person (includes football game ticket)
- Walk in the Edward C. and Helen G. Schmakel Homecoming Parade
- Practice, warm up and snacks in Fetterman Field
- Participate in Athletics’ Rocket walk
- Visit Alumni Pavilion for the Pregame party to mingle and watch the current squad
- Receive on-field recognition in the Glass Bowl
- Cheer on the field (NW Corner) during the first half of the game
SATURDAY SCHEDULE
Morning Session
8:30 a.m. – Morning Session Check-In | Fetterman Field
Check – In will be in Fetterman Training Center from 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. Attendees will be able to sign their waivers, pick up their shirts, and receive their field pass (if cheering for the game). Coffee and light refreshments will be available while supplies last. At approximately 9:15 am the alumni will walk over to Parking Area 13 for parade staging. Alumni who already submitted their waiver and received their reunion packet at a previous event may check in at parade staging. Suggested parking is area 1S or 2.
9:30 a.m. – Parade Staging | Parking Area 13
Alumni who already submitted their waiver and received their reunion packet at a previous event may check in at parade staging, no later then 9:30. Parade staging will be taking place in Parking Area 13. Suggested parking for parade staging is Parking Area 12.
10:00 a.m. – Walk in the Homecoming Parade | Parking Area 13
Typically the parade route takes about an hour and is 2 -2.5 miles. Candy will be provided by the alumni association. If you would like to ride in the parade (golf cart trailing group) please RSVP to Paul Smith as space will be limited. Parade participants must check-in either at Fetterman or in Parking Area 13 to be in parade.
Tailgate/Practice Session
Check-In: If the afternoon session if your first reunion activity, please make sure you check-in with Paul Smith or Mckenzie Hoffman near the front steps of Savage Arena (look for golf cart with Cheer/Mascot Reunion signs on it) to fill out/submit waiver, receive any ordered shirts, and obtain your field pass for cheering during the game. Suggested parking for the afternoon session is area 1S, 1N or 2.
1:00 p.m. - Rocket Walk | Savage Arena
The Rocket Walk is when Cheerleaders/Mascots walk the football team from Savage Arena to Larimer Athletic Complex. Rocket fans often gather along the route and alumni cheer and mascots can participate in this new tradition by helping rally these fans in their support of the Rockets.
1:30 p.m. - UT Cheer/Mascot Warm Up | Fetterman Field
Alumni Cheerleaders and Mascots practice/warm up in Fetterman Field. This is not required but is recommended as you will receive information about cheering on the field.
2:45 p.m. – Watch Current Cheer Team at Pregame Pep Rally | Koester Alumni Pavilion
Alumni Cheerleaders and Mascots can watch and cheer on the current squad and marching band for the traditional pep rally in the Koester Alumni Pavilion. Due to space constraints mascot/cheer alumni will not be able to cheer alongside the current cheer team, but can still attend and support. For those looking for an activity between the practice and pep rally(or with guests looking for an activity between the parade and football game) the UToledo Alumni Association be having a pregame party in the Koester Alumni Pavilion (across from ticket windows on the “home” side of the Glass Bowl). The pregame party runs from 12 noon – 3 p.m. and will feature a cash bar, live music and free hot dogs, pop, and chips.
Football Game Session
Check-In: If the Football Game is your first reunion activity, please make sure you check-in with Paul Smith or Mckenzie Hoffman near the NW Entrance to the Glass Bowl (look for golf cart with Cheer/Mascot Reunion signs on it) to fill out/submit waiver, receive any ordered shirts, and obtain your field pass for cheering during the game. Suggested parking for the Football Game is any of the General Admissions Lots, some of which include a fan shuttle (More Info).
3:00 p.m. – Football Pregame | NW Glass Bowl Entrance
Meet at the NW Entrance (under scoreboard at bottom of hill) to the Glass Bowl NO LATER then 3 p.m. We will enter the field for pregame festivities as a group. Only Cheer and Mascot Alumni must wear field pass. Please note, only cheer/mascot alumni can be on the field. All guests must enter the stadium through a regular ticket gate. Cheer and Mascot Alumni may help cheer the team onto the field by helping create a “tunnel”. Following the team taking the field, the alumni who plan to cheer for the first quarter should head to the SW corner of the home sidelines. Those who will not be cheering during the first quarter should head to their seats (likely in sections 9).
3:30 p.m. - Kickoff and Cheering | SW (NW if needed) Corner of Glass Bowl
Cheer alumni can cheer during the first and second quarter of the game. Due to the large group of alumni returning, we have moved the primary cheer location to the SW corner and, if additional space is needed, NW corner. Please note due to space, security, and safety concerns, only those alumni who are actively cheering can be on the sideline. The Cheer and Mascot alumni will be recognized on the field between the first and second quarter of the game (more info below). Because of this, alumni may choose to sit with their family/guest for the first quarter and cheer for the second or vice versa. All alumni on the field must have a reunion field pass to enter the field. All alumni must vacate the field at the end of the first half and utilize your game ticket to watch the second half from the stands. All tickets were distributed electronically by the ticket office to the email used for registration. For alternative ticket arrangements, please contact the UT ticket office 419.530.GOLD (4653).
End 1st Quarter – Cheer/Mascot Alumni Recognition | Glass Bowl Field
Cheer and Mascot Alumni will be recognized on the field as a group between the first and second quarters of the football game. Those alumni who are not cheering on the field should head to the field gate on the home side located at the end of the stairway between sections 6 and 7 (approximately 30 yard line) when there is roughly 5 minutes left in the first quarter. All alumni on the field must have a field pass to enter the field (and guests are not permitted to accompany the alumni on the field). At the end of the first quarter all cheer and mascot alumni will enter the field and stand on the field along the north, home sideline. Following the recognition alumni who plan to cheer for the second quarter may return to the NW corner of the sideline. Those who are not cheering during the second quarter may enter the stands and utilize their game ticket to watch the remainder of the game from the stands. All alumni cheering during the second quarter must vacate the field at the end of the second quarter and utilize their game ticket to watch the second half from the stands.
