History and an Overview of the UToledo ROTC Program
The presentation features Lieutenant Colonel Colby D. Pepon, a professor in the Department of Military Science for the Rocket Battalion Reserve Officer Training Program (ROTC) at UToledo. The Rocket Battalion partners with local programs, organizations and the community to educate and inspire students to become future U.S. Army officers of the highest character, commitment and competence.
LTC Pepon was commissioned in 2004 as an active duty infantry officer. In 2011, he was one of only seven army intelligence officers selected to attend the National Security Agency’s Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program; an intense 3-year program designed to educate and promote premiere signal intelligence officers. LTC Pepon served in multiple combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan and has traveled throughout the Middle East and Africa.
